Weekend Sewing February 13 2017, 1 Comment

What did I do this weekend? I hand stitched all weekend!

First I finished up the mini quilts for our booth using the 4" Variety pack templates that are new in the store. ( below)  Then I embroidered and sewed the binding on the Little 4" block above to be used at a name tag at QuiltCon.  All of us at VFW Quilts made new name tags using the NEW snack set templates.  Kim, Laura, and Susan and I will all be in Savannah!  I can't believe in one week we will be road tripping to GA!  Will you be there?

The little "Variety Pack" quilts are looking so good! These blocks are so addicting!!

Easy to piece, and super cute!

I also had been working on quilting this new DWR quilt this entire past week... I finally finished it Sunday morning!  I immediately trimmed it, made the bias binding, sewed it on, took it home so I could binge watch and hand bind all day.   Yep.  It's done... Now to do three quite sleeves this week, Class samples as I seem to have lost them from my Craft Napa trip... (I'm sure they are hiding and will turn up as soon as I finish new samples...)  Above I used my Double wedding ring set and my Full Melon template all in one quilt!

I need to get this up on the wall today and photograph it... It was a fun one to make!

NEW! Snack Sets & variety pack February 09 2017, 0 Comments

I am in LOVE with these small blocks:

Fast to piece, great for scrap busting and 15 minutes of PLAY!

Here are little quilts we made using the templates. Each quilt has 9 blocks of each template set.

This orange quilt is Snack set #1

The templates are great for machine piecing or hand piecing! (American patchwork)

Snack set #2

 Snack Set #3

Snack Set #4

Snack Set #5

 Snack set #6

Snack set #6 is quite clever as it can make both blocks shown in this purple quilt. The churn dash, and the cross block.  SWEET!

 Snack Set #7

Each set is sold individually, or

as a VARIETY PACK! Get all seven in one pack!

So you can use all the blocks to make this cute sampler!

All our new products are listed here.

I have already been playing in my solids scrap bins, and am working on a tonal quilt using

Snack set #1.  I'm using two colors close in value, to make 9 patch blocks...in every color combo I can find in my scrap bin. That has not stopped me from making more little blocks of the other sets though! Extra Set #6 and #3 keep popping up on my wall as well!

SNOW DAY!!!  6" already, and to think yesterday was 65. sigh.

Today I will finish my binding on the individual coasters/mug rugs I made as well!

I hope you will love playing with these Snack Sets!!

I bet you can't just make one!  ( less calories than potato chips!)
